Yoga has also proven to be quite useful in increasing the speed with which you fall asleep, as well as how long you sleep, due to its combination of stretching and meditative breathing. Progressive muscle relaxation involves a tensing of certain muscles for a small amount of time, and then releasing them to feel more relaxed afterwards.
